1.6   Fate

---

Although he speculated about what reaction that scum father would have if he knew he had been to the Wei’s house, those were just speculations, no more. Hao Ritian had already thought of a way to deal with that scum dad and his family a long time ago. It was completely unnecessary for him to borrow the Wei family’s banner, and he also disdained to do so.

Though he had not done a lot, the waves from the previous night were too much and even now he was still a little tired. Hao Ritian who prioritised enjoyment above all else let the water run for the bath and added in a few drops of essential oil, thereupon lying down right away after getting naked.

The comfortable feeling of warm water flowing over him made him heave a long breath. His gaze shifted slightly down. The purplish green traces on his pale skin was particularly striking. Hao Ritian hummed a laugh and rubbed them softly. They looked very terrible, but in fact, they were not that painful.

After rubbing a couple times, he again raised his legs to examine them. Similar purplish green hickeys were on his knees. Looking at these marks, his mind couldn’t help but involuntarily recall the feeling of being kissed by that man. As he imagined it more and more, his body began to get a bit feverish again.

Cough, the young chicken who experienced passion was a bit addicted. Not good, not good, he has to control himself more.

When he got out of bed this morning—no, it should be noon, he noticed something. His body felt limp and aching but it was very dry. There was none of that sticky feeling on his body. Other than some swelling and stinging from the place which had been overused, it was similarly very clean. Presumably, that man had helped him clean up after it was over. That was pretty considerate of him.

On account of this point, he was even more satisfied with this fuckbuddy. When he left the Wei house earlier, he hadn’t been lying when he said he would find him if he needed to. That was Hao Ritian’s train of thought. With such a high quality fuckbuddy who was so in line with his type, he wasn’t just going to let him go after one time.

His mood suddenly improved and Hao Ritian hummed a song as he soaked, looking incredibly comfy.

Once his fatigue was relieved, he wiped his body dry and threw himself onto his bed, ready to take another nap. The big, soft bed was very much to his preference and in just a short while, he dazedly fell asleep.

The next time he awoke, the sky had turned dark. Hao Ritian looked at the time and it showed that it was 8 in the evening. However, he was a night owl so 8 was still very early for him.

Coincidentally, his stomach was a little hungry. The hotel could provide meal delivery service, but Hao Ritian wanted to roam around so he quickly sorted himself out, took his phone and wallet, then headed downstairs.

At noon, other than using the computer to learn about the structure of the imperial capital, he also had some simple understanding of the routes and environment around the hotel. Exiting the main door of the hotel, he hailed a cab right away and had the driver send him to ‘Eminent Gentlemen’.

Eminent Gentlemen was a very well-known high-class club in the imperial capital. It was about an hour’s walk away from the hotel he was staying at. After arriving, Hao Ritian paid for the fare and stood outside of Eminent Gentlemen, sizing it up.

Oh, it did look very high end and it didn’t have that usual bright coloured and gaudy style. At the very least, his first impression of it was good. Hao Ritian put his hands in his pockets and swaggered inside at a carefree pace.

He could hear the sound of music as soon as he entered. However, it was not those noise polluting type of sound. It was instead a very elegant type of music. Hearing it could soothe one's feelings and make them unable to help but relax. After leaving the corridor, the whole lobby instantly appeared before his eyes.

Many private areas were arranged in the hall of the club. The lights were dim, not too bright or too dark. It gave off a shadowy feeling. The very front of the hall was a stage, the music just now had come from there. Hao Ritian raised his brows in surprise, What’s the matter? Why are there so many people?

Just as he was having doubts, a waiter came up to him to explain, “Sir, the club invited Tang Qi to sing here today. Come this way, please.”

After saying that, he led him to a resting area by the side.

Hao Ritian did not refuse. The hall of this club was larger than normal broadcast performance halls. There were many seats in the rest areas, of which most were already occupied by now. He followed the waiter and chose somewhere to sit, then he knocked on the surface of the table with his hand, “Open up a bottle of red wine.”

The waiter gave a slight bow and handed the list of wine on the table forward , “What kind of red wine would you like, sir?”

Hao Ritian had no intention of reading it, directly saying, “Open the most expensive wine.”

The expensive ones are not necessarily good but the good ones are definitely expensive. This was not a low-grade club, it will certainly not cheat people with counterfeits so it was alright for him to choose something pricey.

The waiter’s eyes lit up. The achievement of getting an order for a bottle of the most expensive wine was even greater than his monthly salary. He didn’t know whose family this young master belonged to. He was unexpectedly so generous with spending money. It was not a waste for him to have studied well when undergoing training at the beginning. One should never judge a person by his appearance in these sorts of places, otherwise he would have missed such a big order.

A moment ago, his colleagues had seen that he was a teenager and was also alone, so nobody was willing to serve him. Nevertheless, he stuck to his responsibilities and came over. Now it looked like he was rather lucky.

“Yes, sir. Just a moment, please.” His tone inevitably carrying joy.

When he left to get the red wine, his colleagues saw that he got the most expensive and were immediately envious and jealous. One should know that not everyone was willing to be a big spender. The guests in the private box did not count. They could only serve in the hall and getting such a big order was like a pie falling from the sky.

If they had known sooner, they wouldn’t have been so reluctant just now.

Hao Ritian sat with his legs crossed on the sofa while his mind continued to wonder who Tang Qi was. When the waiter brought the wine and was opening it for him, he took the menu off the table, and after the waiter opened the red wine and placed it in front of him, he said, “I want these dishes.”

Steak and a serving of prawns, oysters and sashimi. The waiter nodded, “Alright. Please wait for a moment, sir.”

The services of a high-class club were good and Hao Ritian was able to eat something 10 minutes later. Eating alone was, unavoidably, quite awkward and he liked to be accompanied. At once, he pointed to the seat opposite him and said to the waiter, “Sit down and eat with me.”

The waiter hesitated for only a moment before obediently sitting down. This wasn’t the only time a case like this had happened. Seeing him not move after sitting down, Hao Ritian raised his eyes, “Eat.”

At the same time, he also poured a glass of red wine for him.

The waiter wasn’t allowed to not eat this time. He carefully ate a few bites and sipped some red wine. If the guest had not asked him to, he may not have been able to drink this type of red wine his whole life. After drinking a few mouthfuls, he put on his gloves and began to peel the prawns for Hao Ritian. Hao Ritian did not refuse and chatted with him as he ate.

“Who is that Tang Qi you mentioned a moment ago? When does he come up on stage?”

The waiter was stunned, there was actually someone who didn’t know Tang Qi?

Those were his thoughts but he was not at all slow when answering, “Tang Qi is the number one rising new King of Music, known in the music circle as a rare once-in-a-century music talent. He will formally appear on stage at 10 o’clock.”

As the Music King of the entertainment circle, Tang Qi had more than 50 million weibo fans. Compared to many old and well-known singers, he was even more charismatic. But to have been able to invite him to sing in such a place; this alone showed the capabilities of the club owner.

Hao Ritian’s brows raised, “Inviting the Music King to sing here, is there something wrong with the owner of your club?”

As for being a once-in-a-century music talent or whatever, even if he heard that, the entertainment circle was a mixture of truth and falsehood. Who knew which words were true and which words were false?

The waiter’s expression turned choked up. How could a little waiter like him dare slander the boss? Embarrassed, he said, “Today is the tenth year anniversary of the club. The boss wants to celebrate it.”

He could only explain it like this.

Fortunately, Hao Ritian did not mean to make it hard on him. He looked at the time and it was half past nine, there was still half an hour before Tang Qi went on stage. He wanted to see if this King of Music was worthy of his name.

There was food, there was drinks and there was someone to help him peel shrimps. Hao Ritian felt very pleased. Perhaps god could not go on watching, for just as he was eating merrily, he was suddenly disturbed by someone. He was pat on the shoulder and he lifted his head, subsequently greeted with a cry of surprise.

“Yan Qi, it really is you. I thought I was seeing things. I didn’t expect to meet you here. You’ve already taken several days of leave, when are you going back to school?”

Hao Ritian looked at the pleasantly surprised teenager and his whole person seemed to have been struck by lightning.

S-s-s-school?

He actually forgot about this stubble. Yan Qi was still a senior year exam candidate and had taken leave for a few days due to his mother’s passing. Afterwards, Hao Ritian transmigrated over and received his memories, incidentally throwing this issue to the back of his mind. How could he really docilely go to school?

Who the fuck knew he would encounter his classmate by eating out!!!

Hao Ritian quickly turned over his memories about the youth before him. Was this not their class monitor Chang Le?

Yan Qi had always been a bright and sunny boy before everything happened and ranked among the best in academic performance. His relationship with his classmates was also not bad, it was especially good with Chang Le who was the class monitor. Chang Le was a bit uncertain when he saw a familiar figure as the lights were dim, and deliberately came over to confirm, but he didn’t think it would really be Yan Qi.

“Are you alone? Today is Meng Rou from our class’s birthday. Chen Chen got news that Eminent Gentlemen would invite King Tang to sing here today so he brought some classmates he got along well with to celebrate together. You should come with us!” Chang Le very enthusiastically invited.

Chen Chen was the second-generation rich kid in name and in reality of their class. He had been pursuing Meng Rou, their class beauty, not long after the start of school and has persevered for more than two years. Inviting everyone to Eminent Gentlemen was also in order to support the gathering for Meng Rou.

Only after coming to Eminent Gentlemen did Chang Le know that the consumption here was so unexpectedly high. This made him learn more intuitively about the world of the rich. And even more unexpected was that Yan Qi could afford to come to this place too.

After knowing Yan Qi for half a year, he had no idea that he was actually so rich.

Hao Ritian coughed twice and turned him down, “I’m not going. You guys can go have a good time. Chen Chen didn’t invite me and I don’t want to upset him by going there.”

The school Yan Qi attended had very high quality education. Yan Yang was also attending this school and compared to Yan Qi, the true heir to the Yan family who was low-key in school, Yan Yang was very high-profile. Yan Qi would not painstakingly flaunt his background, but Yan Yang liked the feeling of being flattered very much as it greatly satisfied his self-esteem. Due to his high-profile style, he was rather ‘famous’ among the year 3 seniors.

However before Yan Yongan really took Yan Yang home, Yan Qi did not know that Yan Yang was his father’s bastard child. Even if he saw Yan Yang and thought he looked similar to his father, he would not have thought in that direction.

How lamentable!

As for continuing to get along with his classmates, Hao Ritian did not think it was a must. That second-generation rich kid, Chen Chen, was very hostile towards him. Yan Qi had good grades, was handsome and popular with the girls. Chen Chen was hostile towards Yan Qi because Meng Rou whom he was pursuing was interested in him. In Hao Ritian’s eyes, these were like children’s quarrels. He completely did not take them to heart.

According to his plan, after he reached adulthood and inherited the shares Yan Qi’s mother left for him, pulverized that scum father and his mistress’ family into dust, it would be high time for him to leave. It would take 2 years at most, so if Hao Ritian hadn't met Chang Le, he would have forgotten everything about school and classmates or whatever.

Chang Le listened to Hao Ritian’s refusal with a slightly embarrassed expression. Not just him, everyone in class knew of Chen Chen’s hostility towards Yan Qi. Chagrined, he touched the tip of his nose, “Well, alright. When are you going back to school?”

Hao Ritian dipped a piece of sashimi and ate it, “ Let’s talk about that another time.”

Chang Le wasn’t a person without eyes, he could see Hao Ritian wasn’t in the best of moods. He pointed to the direction of his classmates and left.

As soon as he got back to his seat, a classmate asked him, “Is that really Yan Qi?”

They were still only high school students right now and being able to spend money here was impressive to them. Even if a few of their families met the criteria, their parents would not give them so much money to use as they pleased at their age.

Which was why Chen Chen who could afford to bring them was the center of attention and Yan Qi’s surprise was astonishing to them.

Meng Rou sitting beside them couldn’t help looking over. Chang Le nodded, “Yeah, it was Yan Qi.”

“Wow, I couldn’t tell. Yan Qi’s family is unexpectedly so rich.” The student could not help but be rendered speechless.

Chen Chen saw Meng Rou peeking that way several times and couldn’t help snorting, “Who knows if he‘s just trying to gain attention!”

The students who came today were all basking in Chen Chen’s light and most of them were fans of King Tang, so hearing Chen Chen say that, other than a couple forced laughs, they did not say much.

Chang Le hung his eyes down to hide the satire in his eyes. He just saw a bottle of red wine that cost dozens of thousands of dollars on Yan Qi’s table. He had purposefully looked over the wine menu when they arrived and Chen Chen hadn’t been willing to order such an expensive wine. This was enough to show that Yan Qi wasn’t poor at all. However, it was not necessary to argue with Chen Chen at this moment.

In a flash, it was soon 10 o’clock.

At 10 o’clock sharp, Tang Qi went on stage as expected.

Fans of Tang Qi who were sitting in the hall were of the majority and after Tang Qi's appearance, the whole hall came to a boil.

As the newest rising King of Music, Tang Qi not only sang well but was also good-looking. The 24 year-old young man was tall, long-legged, and possessed beautiful facial features. He wore a thin knitted shirt and a pair of slim jeans. His good figure was obvious at a glance.

Listening to everyone’s cheers, Tang Qi revealed an easy smile. He pointed to the microphone and got straight to the point, “I’m Tang Qi. I’ll be singing《Jailbird》for everyone.”

Following, the accompaniment started and Tang Qi began to sing straight-away. His voice was soft and lingering. When he deliberately lowered his voice, it made people feel like their ears were getting pregnant. It was indeed very attractive.

The crowd did not expect him to be so straightforward, but Jailbird was the hit song of Tang Qi’s first album and many of the people here could sing it. Tang Qi’s influence was also truly strong and soon many began to follow and sing along.

The eyes of some girls in Chang Le’s class were damp with tears, “King Tang is so gentle and he sings so well.”

By this time, Hao Ritian was also full and had had enough of drinking. He held the red wine in his hand and slowly stopped sipping, his eyes fixed on Tang Qi who was on stage. Finally, he sighed, “That is one fine ass.”

The waiter sitting opposite him, “…”

His gaze couldn’t help but be drawn to Tang Qi’s butt a few times. It was indeed very fine. The outline of the butt was more defined in the slim jeans. When he reflected on what he had just thought, the waiter collapsed a little inside.

This Mr. Yan was clearly still a high school student. How come he felt that the other person was like an experienced adult who had been around the block? The waiter shook his head a couple of times. This must be an illusion. Right, that’s it.

“What’s wrong with you?” Hao Ritian looked at the waiter who had seemingly gone mad, and felt that he was somewhat funny.

The waiter came to his senses and was instantly embarrassed, “Nothing…”

Hao Ritian didn’t intend to get to the bottom of the matter and relaxed his body, squinting as he listened to Tang Qi’s performance. This sort of live performance was also very tasteful. It wasn’t a waste for him to have come here.

Almost half an hour later, Hao Ritian stood up. He had eaten and drunk a lot and he needed to use the washroom.

According to the attendant’s instructions, he crossed a corridor and found the washroom. As soon as he entered and before he could solve his physiological needs, he saw a familiar figure. The other person was currently unfastening his belt. He raised his brow. He actually met the man he rolled in the sheets with just last night, so soon and so unexpectedly. What a coincidence!

He walked over unhurriedly, and leisurely pulled out his bird, raising his lips to the similarly surprised man beside him, “Yo, we meet again.”

As his voice fell, the tinkling sound of water falling rang. Finished solving his physiological needs, he shook his bird and glanced at the other person’s big bird, whistling loudly at him afterwards. Extremely indecent.

Wei Zhichen, “…”

He tucked the big bird back into his trousers, the surprise in his expression already curbed. His face carried a slight smile as he looked at Hao Ritian, and together they washed their hands at the sink. He then spoke, “Does this count as fate?”

“Uh-huh, it could.” Hao Ritian squeezed some liquid hand soap onto his hands. He was in a rather good mood about meeting the man; after all, he had given him a great experience the previous night, and he could still remember him quite well.

Wei Zhichen did not ask Hao Ritian what he was doing here. If it were another person, he might have suspected that the other party had investigated his whereabouts and came here on purpose for a chance encounter.

After drawing out two paper towels and wiping his hands with them, Wei Zhichen used his still damp hand to pinch the lobe of the young man’s ear, “Would you like to sit in a box with me?”

Hao Ritian was preparing to refuse. He did not have those sorts of thoughts for the time being and was impatient to listen to a group of people talk about business, but the man slowly continued, “Your father, Yan Yongan, is there too.”

He believed the young man could understand his meaning.

Hao Ritian indeed understood, but he was a bit skeptical on how Yan Yongan could have gotten into Wei Zhichen’s circle. Those who could do business with Wei Zhichen, even if they were not on the same level, they should be close to it. What was Yan Yongan?

The hyena which entered the lions' group by mistake?

Hao Ritian sneered. However, the idea that had flashed past his mind at noon but was brushed away as a joke, suddenly came to mind. Since Wei Zhichen offered this ladder on his own, then why shouldn’t he go along and climb it and let Yan Yongan see Wei Zhichen and him appear together? That would be very interesting.

With this thought, Hao Ritian’s mouth immediately hooked up in a malicious smile. He looked at Wei Zhichen and nodded, “Sure. It would be my honour to.”
