[To have degenerated to the point of allowing a lowly human to ride atop your body, this is the Dragon race’s…] It was impossible to tell what sort of expression the Dragon had in this form, but simply from its tone, it was easy to see the Red Dragon’s disdain for the enemy in front of it.

Only, it had spoken halfway before remembering that this degenerated beast could no longer be considered as part of the Dragon race. In the end, it quieted down.

However, hearing this sort of unfinished sentence was enough to let everyone on scene understand it’s meaning.

The Dragon race’s shame.

Theoretically, allowing a human to ride atop its body was the greatest form of humiliation for a Dragon.  However, the Black Dragon before them seemed to be willing, and had even…taken the initiative to protect the human riding on it.

But they had already exiled this Black Dragon from their race and no matter how it degenerated, it was no longer any of their concern. The other party was merely a twisted monster.

[Meow,] Licking the youth’s fingers, the kitten stuck onto his shoulders purred softly. It seemed to not mind the other Dragon’s perception of it.

The Black Dragon narrowed its scarlet eyes. Being surrounded by the various coloured Dragons which had appeared from the floating isle did not cause this Black Dragon, whose body emitted a destructive force, to cower one bit.

Just by its sheer body size, it was the biggest Dragon on-site and only the sacred dragon at the head of the group could stand off against it.

The Dragons present on scene were stained with the Black Dragon’s destructive breath, unable to extinguish the corrosive black flames.

The flames would corrode one’s body from the inside until the pain become evident and reached a stage beyond endurance. The Dragons ultimately began to twitch and curl up discreetly.

[Mu De—?] The Green Dragon finally realised that something was wrong with its comrades and hurriedly looked up, questioning.

Gu Yan held the Black Dragon’s neck, thinking to himself that they seemed to belong to the evil faction now, or simply put, the villains. Glancing at the quest panel once more, Gu Yan felt that this quest was simply to let him bully others...ah no, it was to bully dragons.

[Young man, do you understand what consequences your actions will bring?] The leader of the Dragons spoke heavily. A pair of bright golden eyes fixed on the black-haired youth atop the Black Dragon’s back.

The sacred Dragon at this moment was much unlike his human form. Despite having past his most flourishing days, this Dragon seemed to be unshakable.

[ROAR!] Without waiting for the youth to reply, the Black Dragon narrowed its scarlet eyes and let out a threatening roar towards the ruler.

Of course there wouldn’t be any consequences. It will protect its treasure.

[Hand over the Primal Chaos Key.] Going along with the act, Gu Yan threw out this sentence timely .

[This human has been bewitched.] After healing up his ally, the Green Dragon returned to his original position and confidently tossed out his opinion.

The evil spells the Black Dragon knew were too many to count. From the Green Dragon’s perspective, if the youth had not been misled, with the human race’s nature of wanting benefits while avoiding ill, greedy yet fearful of death, they would not be willing to offend the entire Dragon race for the sake of a twisted monster.

Hearing these words, the Dragon looked at the scene before it as if it couldn’t quite understand why.

From what they were seeing, to say that the human had been misled may not be right. It was difficult to say who was the one to mislead who...because the Black Dragon seemed to appear extremely indulgent of the human on its back. Even when the reverse scales on its neck was touched, there wasn’t any reaction.

The Dragon who had also noticed this point changed its perspective and began to ponder once more. If their own inverted scales were to be touched, they would instantly and undoubtedly tear apart the creature who did it.

They could not understand.

[This is different from what we agreed upon,] The sacred Dragon said. The Dragons which had surrounded the Black Dragon earlier began their assault.

This battle was something that Gu Yan did not have any part in. The human race’s physical ability was completely insufficient to take part in a war between Dragons. Even if there was a whole army of humans, just the sheer difference between their two races were enough to completely crush them on the sole basis of their species.

From the start, the Black Dragon never had any intention of allowing the person on its back to fight in this war. The Black Dragon’s protective magic was absolutely effective in protecting the youth in a tight barrier. Its back was merely a viewing pavilion it had prepared for the other person to spectate from, and he only had to watch.

[Ah Yan, you need to hold on to me tighter.]

The Black Dragon did not speak. Amidst the battle, it was Asa’s voice that rang beside his ear, deep and husky.

Hold tightly?

Hearing these words, Gu Yan tightened his hold in order to not distract his family’s Qiuqiu from displaying his power. His body also flattened against the Black Dragon’s as he nodded, [Okay.]

The Black Dragon wanting the human to hug him tighter had nothing to do with affecting his performance, but merely his own private motives.

Having already experienced a calamity brought forth by the Black Dragon race a long time ago, even if they were they were both from the Dragon Race, the other Dragons could not overlook their innate prejudices against this Black Dragon. Moreover, the degeneration of the Black Dragon in front of them further deepened these prejudices.

Perhaps, the Black Dragon race was something that should never have existed—

The war between Dragons were unlike those between humans. They did not require many war strategies since they knew how to use their innate physical characteristics as a tool for war. Every part of their body was a deadly killing machine.

It could be called pure collision between Dragons.

A Dragon flying at full speed was even faster than the latest and most advanced aircraft constructed by the Dwarf race. Gu Yan, who was being securely protected, did not need to worry about falling off, and simply held the kitten in his arms. He watched as an approaching bronze Dragon got flanked by the Black Dragon’s right wing, revealing a gaping wound. Followed by it was a sweep of its tail,  the Bronze Dragon could only fall through the air with its heavy injury.

As though angered by the Dragons attempting to hurt the person on its back, the Black Dragon narrowed its eyes lifted off with its pair of enormous wings and then, it sprayed out another breath —

The temperature of the air around them rose rapidly and the heat from the Dragon’s breath seemed to directly lit the entire sky on fire, painting it a shade of vermillion red.

But for the victims of the wave of dragon breath, this was not good at all.

The leader of the Dragons set up a protective screen to shield it comrades. Unfortunately, what should have been an impenetrable barrier was slowly corroding away.

The destructive dark flames that seemed to materialise into vague shadows penetrated the gaps in the protective barrier that had been corroded away. When these flames found their target, it directly penetrated their thick dragon armour and began to corrode their flesh.

 [ROAR!]

The comrades who were unable to escape from the black flames let out a painful roar that reterbrated through the ears of all the other dragons present on site. They could clearly see the flames that burned its way out of their fellow dragon comrade’s body was slowly expanding until it was entirely consumed within.

In the air, huge balls of flames simultaneously appeared. Cracks slowly began to form on armour of the Dragons who had been trapped by the Black Dragon and slowly melted off.

It did not take long for these balls of flames to fall to the ground like the Bronze Dragon had earlier. The moment they hit the ground, it was as if an earthquake had descended, since a Dragon’s body was simply too gigantic.

Sitting in the safest spot, and with the best position for spectating the entire event, Gu Yan silently thought his family’s Qiuqiu had crushed this battle.

And he had. Completely and utterly crushed it. This gave him the feeling as if they had swapped the roles of the one surrounding them and the one being surrounded.

This sort of result had been completely unexpected. The sheer difference in strength between them made them renew their outlook of the Black Dragon race’s destructive magic. Since ancient times until now, they had always been the Dragon race’s most powerful force.

It was just that with the near-extinction of the Black Dragon race, they had almost forgotten.

[Human, if you want the Primal Chaos Key, you must first make it stop.] The ruler of the Dragons shifted its golden eyes onto the black-haired youth on the Black Dragon’s back.

Even if there was no pre-meditated condition for ending this war, they no longer had the ability to defeat their opponent. The hundred-thousand-year-old sacred Dragon could not help but admit this fact.

At the same time, it was also clear that the human youth was the main force behind this war and could control the Black Dragon’s actions. No matter how much he was unable to understand the reason for this, it did not prevent him from realising this point.

The Primal Chaos Key wasn’t anything particularly valuable, and it also wasn’t anything personally important to it. In comparison, the sacred dragon would rather use it to exchange for the lives of its comrades.

Ever since there was a Dragon that dared to launch an attack on the youth of its back, the Black Dragon’s scarlet pupils had remained constricted. The youth snuggled his forehead against its neck.

The Black Dragon had not missed this little action and narrowed its eyes. It gradually ceased its assault and regained its calm once more.

[As long as you successfully swear to the supreme god, you will get what you want.] Swearing by the supreme god of this world left no room for reneging on a promise. Having personally experienced the limits of the oath, the sacred dragon was extremely clear on this.

[...] Sitting on the Black Dragon’s back, Gu Yan was silent.

It wasn’t that he was unwilling. It’s just that, from what he heard...

The [Supreme God] of this world...isn’t it his family’s Qiuqiu?
