Xiang Han’s expression was complicated and he felt it was truly difficult to explain what he had seen.

On the other hand, Shen Ze didn’t have the patience. He directly picked up a paper cutter and pretended to play with it in his hands, “Get out if you’re not saying anything.”

Xiang Han instinctively shrunk back. Towards Shen Ze’s act of casually picking up a knife whenever there was a minor inconvenience, he was extremely unhappy and deliberately said, “Elder brother, be careful not to cut yourself.”

Shen Ze’s movements instantly froze. In the end, one second...two seconds...nothing happened.

He secretly released a breath and looked towards Xiang Han, taking a step and forcing the latter back.

His ability actually failed? Xiang Han’s heart trembled and he didn’t have time to think before saying, “I-I-It’s like this. I accidentally saw Nanny Ling touching your underwear just now…”

He couldn’t continue on, but there was also no need to because Shen Ze’s face had turned as dark as the bottom of a pot. He had evidently thought of something.

He took another intimidating step towards Xiang Han, his tone extremely cold, “Say that again.”

Xiang Han slowly stepped backwards until he was pressed up against the door before he carefully spoke, “I saw Nanny Ling…”

“Enough.” Shen Ze’s face was green. He abruptly opened the door and dragged him out, directly throwing him out.

Xiang Han was startled by the slamming of the door and only released a breath he had been holding when he finally returned to his room. He patted his chest, muttering, “Nearly scared me to death. I’d thought he would fly into a rage and silence me on the spot.”

The System quickly consoled him, [Mr. Xiang, don’t be afraid. In consideration of the special circumstances in this world, I have more freedom to control the host’s body and help you escape.]

Xiang Hans eyes lit up, [Then I don’t have to worry anymore.]

After he chased Xiang Han out, Shen Ze rushed towards his cupboard and violently pulled open the door. In the blink of an eye, he threw all his underwear into the bin. Thinking of the possibility that the one he was wearing now must have also been... he instantly felt disgusted and didn’t think twice before taking a bath.

However, after he finished washing up, he unexpectedly realised he’d already thrown out all of his underwear earlier in a fit. He did not have any left which he could wear.

There was no way he would pick them back up and moreover, thinking of how Xue Ling had...touched it before, he only felt like throwing up.

Shen Ze put on his pyjamas and sat on his bed in deep thought. After a long internal struggle, he finally stood up and went towards Xiang Han’s room.

Xiang Han had just ‘finished’ his homework and was lying on his bed, intending to read some manhua before going to sleep when he heard a knock on his door. He thought it was Zhu Jing Yi and quickly threw down his phone to open the door.

Seeing Shen Ze outside his door, he was stunned.

Shen Ze frowned and unhesitantly entered. He turned around and said, “Close the door.”

“Oh.” Xiang Han dawdled. He was afraid Shen Ze was here to settle accounts with him and couldn’t help reminding his System, [Little Nine, you must stay vigilant and be prepared to take over the body at any time.]

The moment he shut the door, Shen Ze scanned his room and his gaze finally landed on the phone which had been carelessly tossed aside. Seeing the screen displaying a scene of two men embracing each other in a kiss, he couldn’t help but frown and ask, “You like men?”

Xiang Han was still trying to figure out the purpose of his visit and didn’t think much about his question before answering, “How did you know?”

Seeing Shen Ze’s strange gaze, he finally realised what he had said and awkwardly tried to explain, “It’s not like that. I only like to watch...no, no, I only read this type of manhua occasionally…”

However, from Shen Ze’s perspective, his actions were obviously a mere attempt to cover up, which only served to worsen the matters. He never thought that his step brother was not only cunning, but even quite open with his sexual orientation. That too, at such a young age...Cough. It was amazing that he could still act like an obedient baby.

Although Shen Ze was rather surprised, he looked indifferent on the surface. Thinking of his purpose of coming here, his expression turned dark, “You’re not allowed to speak of the matters from earlier.”

“ I definitely won’t .” Xiang Han immediately swore. He had no desire to be chopped into pieces but with his system here, there was no need to worry anymore.

Shen Ze gave an ‘en’ and hesitated before asking, “What did you tell the old geezer when you came home today?”

He could finally resolve this misunderstanding. Xiang Han quickly replied , “I only told him about how you fell and didn’t say anything else.”

However, he had the feeling that this wasn’t what Shen Ze wanted to ask him. His gaze was filled with hesitation, clearly struggling over something.

Indeed, Shen Ze wasn’t here to teach him a lesson and only gave another ‘en’ after listening to him. Then he expressionlessly said, “You’d better not be lying to me.”

“I am not!”

“That’s good.” Shen Ze nodded before taking out his wallet and pulling out a couple of red notes[1], placing them in Xiang Han’s hands.

Xiang Han, “...” Big brother, is this your way of saying that you like my good attitude today and want to give me a reward?

He lifted his head, not quite understanding the other person’s intentions.

Shen Ze was expressionless as usual apart from a slightly hesitant tone which could not conceal its awkwardness, “Can you go to the supermarket in the neighbourhood and help me buy...cough, some underwear.”

Xiang Han, “...” He never expected this outcome.

Shen Ze coughed and shifted his gaze elsewhere, forcing himself to stay calm, “Previously, you went against me and I also threatened you back, so we’re even. If you help me this time, I will also help you out in the future when you need it.”

“Okay.” Xiang Han felt as if he’d been struck by lightning out of the blue and gripped the money tightly as he left in a daze.

It was only when he had left the villa when he finally regained his senses and wondered, why should I help him?

Shen Ze silently sighed in relief and at the same time, was furious. When he thought of Xue Ling, a trace of disgust flashed in his eyes and he did not think twice before going to find Shen Zheng Duo.

Shen Zheng Duo was preparing to sleep and being called out made him rather unhappy, “What is it, now?”

“Fire Xue Ling.” Shen Ze’s words were very cold and direct.

Xue Ling stood by the stairs and coincidentally heard it, her expression became frightened.

“What did you say?” Shen Zheng Duo was taken aback by his words. His son had been brought up by Xue Ling and in his memories, the two’s relationship was extremely close, like a mother and her son.

Especially in recent years, even though Shen Ze never listened to a word he said, he would sometimes heed Xue Ling’s request. Why would he suddenly...

“Did something happen?” Shen Zheng Duo frowned and felt as if matters were not as simple as it seemed.

Shen Ze’s expression became quite ugly. He looked away and said in disgust, “Nothing. I just don’t want to see her.”

Xue Ling stood on the stairs, her limbs frozen still. When she heard this, she could no longer hold back the urge to rush up. With pitiful eyes turned towards Shen Ze, she demanded, “Ah Ze, what are you saying? Did nanny do something wrong? Tell me what I did wrong, nanny will definitely change. Nanny has taken care of you since you were six years old and treated you as my own son even after so many years have passed. How could nanny’s heart not hurt when you say these sort of things? Did someone say something to you? Is it…”

“Enough.” Shen Ze suddenly interrupted her and could no longer look at her. He only endured his discomfort and said, “You are the clearest on what you’ve done.”

When Xue Ling first came, her attitude could still be considered conscientious and he had treated her as his own mother. That was why, even though she had hit and berated him often after the family situation turned chaotic, he never said anything. It was just that it had secretly made a mark in his heart which never disappeared from then on.

Many years passed and he also grew up. He had learnt many things from the people on the streets and while Xue Ling never hit or scold him anymore, her attitude changed; becoming even more intimate. It was overly intimate, to the point of making him nauseous and even disgusted.

In the beginning, he hadn’t understood and merely attributed it to Xue Ling treating him as the child she had lost and thus, channelling all her affections on him. However, he began to feel something was wrong as of late.

He had also chanced upon something similar to what Xiang Han had seen before but at that time, Xue Ling had looked up  quickly and started talking to him normally. Therefore, he had brushed it off as simply overthinking things. However, Xiang Han’s words made him quickly realise he had not been over thinking at all and in fact, from Xiang Han’s words, she must have not only touched them?

Shen Ze suddenly remembered something. In the past, he had hidden his name, background and confided in a friend about some of these matters. His friend had laughed wretchedly and winked at him, “Who knows if this nanny likes little boys?”

Xue Ling’s expression at this time was extremely pitiful, her gaze filled with unwillingness, infatuation and other various emotions. Thinking of the warning signs from the past, was there anything Shen Ze couldn’t understand?

He threw down one last sentence in disgust, “I don’t want to see her by tomorrow,” and left.

Xue Ling could not understand why and abruptly rushed up to stop him, begging pitiful, “Ah Ze, what happened to you? Weren’t we just fine? Is it, is it…”

A realisation dawned and she suddenly remembered how when she was sending his clothes up, she had passed by Xiang Han’s room. At that time, his door was ajar and it also seemed as if Shen Ze had came out from his room after.

It was him, it was definitely him. That little bastard, he was constantly thinking of ways to harm Ah Ze, but thankfully, she was able to foil his plans each time. He must definitely have found her an eyesore and said something to Ah Ze which resulted in Ah Ze’s change of heart who then ultimately wanted to chase her away.

Xue Ling held his hand in a death grip, her eyes filled intense malice, “Ah Ze, tell me, is it that little bastard who said something? You don’t have to listen to him, he is only trying to frame me and chase me away from this house so that he can bully you in the future. He’s just like his mother, nothing good…”

With his arm being gripped so tightly, pain was inevitable and Shen Ze only felt that this woman had gone crazy. It was simply unthinkable for him to have lived with a mentally unstable person for so many years.

He forcefully pried away her fingers and brushed his clothes in anger, “Don’t touch me.”

Xue Ling froze. She wanted to rush up once more but someone else had stopped her. Turning back, before she had even managed to catch a clear view of the other person, a loud slap landed on her face.

No one knew when Zhu Jing Yi had appeared, but her face was icy cold and her body trembled with anger, “Who are you scolding as a little bastard?”

Zhu Jing Yi had been unlucky to meet and fall for a scum man, and got pregnant before marriage. In the end, the scum man had backed out before they could have their wedding and ran away with a rich woman. She had raised a child all by herself and had heard her fill of ridicule from others. But what she could not endure the most was hearing others scold her son as a bastard and at this moment, she was boiling with rage.

Shen Zheng Duo hurriedly came over to hug her and told Xue Ling coldly, “Xue Ling, you should leave by tomorrow. I’ll wire your salary to your card.”

He didn’t expect Xue Ling to act as a complete madwoman and grab and hold  relentlessly onto Shen Ze. Not only that, she also scolded his step-son and even her gaze towards Shen Ze was too wild.

He suddenly felt fear when he thought of how his son had been raised under her care for so many years.

How could Xue Ling spare any thought for her salary? At this moment, her entire mind was only filled with thoughts like, if she left the Shen’s house, she’d never see Ah Ze again.

She covered her face and looked pleadingly at Shen Ze.

However, Shen Ze only looked at her in disgust and turned around to leave.
